A resolution honoring past Sweetwater ISD (Independent School District) board trustee Wes Bishop was read during Monday night's school board meeting. Bishop served on the board for a decade, from 2000 to 2010.
He was praised for his commitment to and involvement in local education, along with his extraordinary performance and invaluable contributions to the district. The resolution also proclaimed Sept. 16 as Wes Bishop Day throughout Sweetwater ISD.
Reid Bishop, son of Wes Bishop (front row, left) is shown receiving the resolution honoring his father. He is pictured with Sweetwater ISD Superintendent Terry Pittman and board trustees Mark Meneses, Russ Petty, Neal Hoover, Ginny Mayes and Becky Jimenez.
