Many retailers are announcing that their stores will be opening their stores earlier this year for their Black Friday sales, including stores in Sweetwater.
Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Sears, Tractor Supply and Bealls will open on Thanksgiving day at different times offering their low priced specials.
Wal-Mart will have three events with the first beginning at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. The second event will begin at 8 p.m. that day and the third event will begin at 8 a.m. on Friday. (See the pull-out advertising insert in our Thursday edition.)
K-Mart will have their sales beginning even earlier with Thanksgiving morning doorbusters from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. with two other events scheduled for 7 p.m. Thanksgiving night and 6 a.m. Black Friday morning. (See the two pull-out advertising inserts in our Wednesday and Thursday edition.)

Tractor Supply will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but their Thanksgiving sale begins on Wednesday. They will open their doors at 6 a.m. on Friday, offering several Friday only specials. (See the pull-out advertising insert in our Wednesday edition.)
Bealls will open Thanksgiving night from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. for their biggest ever Thanksgiving event. Stores will reopen on Black Friday, Nov. 29, at 6 a.m. for great offers on holiday shopping. On both days, the retailer will entice customers at every store with gift card giveaways, special sales and limited quantity mega doorbuster and doorbuster deals.
“We are absolutely thrilled to open our stores earlier this year. We know our customers are eager to get started on their holiday shopping and find the best deals available,” said Michael Glazer, President and CEO of Stage Stores Inc. “Our stores offer gifts for the entire family from the best-loved brands and we know we are going to make a lot of customers happy.”
The storewide Thanksgiving Weekend sale offers over three hundred doorbuster items that will be available at significant discounts. Customers can also shop for doorbusters online starting at midnight on Thanksgiving until 1 p.m. on Black Friday. Here is a preview of some of the unbelievable doorbuster deals being offered:
1. $19.99 Women’s Rampage Boots
2. $4.99 Fisher Price, Hasbro and Mattel kids toys
3. $9.99 small kitchen appliances
4. $7.99 Polaroid headphones
5. $24.99 Columbia fleece jackets
6. 75% off all fine jewelry
There are also two mega doorbuster deals available at all of their locations — on Thursday the retailer is offering a limited quantity of 7” Android tablets for $49.99 and on Friday the offer is a 14.0-Megapixel digital camera for $19.99. At all locations on Thursday and Friday the first 50 customers will get a scratch-off card with one lucky customer receiving a $100 gift card and one receiving a $50 gift card. The remaining customers get a coupon for $10 off $10 purchase.
In addition to special merchandise deals, Glazer said that the success of Stage Stores on Thanksgiving weekend depends on its dedicated store associates. “We appreciate the enthusiasm of our associates throughout the Holiday season and are happy to compensate those that work on Thanksgiving with double-time pay.”
