Numerous residents from Lake Sweetwater and Oak Creek Lake were given the chance to voice their concerns before the city commissioners voted on the lake lease agreement changes and lake lot lease increases.

Rattlesnake Round-Up week is finally here.
From Thursday, March 11 through Sunday, March 14, the Sweetwater Jaycees host their 52nd annual event at the Nolan County Coliseum Annex. As usual, several activities are being held in conjunction with the Round-Up.

Sweetwater Backpack Buddies officially began last week for 30 Sweetwater ISD students. Sweetwater Backpack Buddies is a local non-profit group that is dedicated to providing healthy food for children that have been identified as "chronically hungry" by SISD staff and administration.

Bryson Leshon McClinton of Sweetwater received a total of 22 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice with two of those years being in the State Jail Division, during 32nd Judicial Court proceedings held Monday with Judge Glen Harrison presiding.
