The Sweetwater Police Department (SPD) received 41 calls for service, issued three citations and made two arrests on April 9, 2013.

The SPD received 15, 911 calls.

Calls for service:
• Reckless driving — 1200 block of Ragland.
• Theft — 600 block of Walnut.
• Theft — 400 block of W. Oklahoma.
• Harassment — 1100 block of Hickory.

Arrested by SPD:
• Clifton Forbes, 31 — Warrants.
• Keithunaya Evans, 35 — Theft.
The Nolan County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) had five calls for service, served seven civil papers and made two arrests on April 9, 2013.

Arrested by NCSO:
• Noe Perez, Jr., 37, Sweetwater — Warrant/failure to appear.
• Herlinda Alvarez Arizmendi, 49, Snyder — Warrant/theft by check.

Calls for service:
• Inmate transport — Big Spring.
• Traffic hazard — I-20 MM 247/248 west bound.
• Attempt to locate — I-20 at Mitchell County line.
• Prisoner transport – Gatesville.
• Loud music — SW Railroad.

Total in Custody: 55 (Taylor County 9, Garza County 3, Runnels County 2)

The Sweetwater Fire Department responded to 6 ambulance calls and two fire calls over the past 24 hours.
• Four ambulance calls in the city of Sweetwater.
• One fire call in the city of Sweetwater.
• One ambulance call in Nolan County.
• One fire call in Nolan County.
• One out of town transfer.
