The Sweetwater Police Department (SPD) received 50 calls for service, issued no citations and made five arrests on Aug. 1, 2012.
The SPD received 29, 911 calls.

• Theft — 300 block of E. Broadway.
Arrested by SPD:
• Victor Fields, 29 — Criminal trespass.
• Charles McLarty, 58 — Driving while intoxicated/evading.
• Julian Cuellar, 29 — Family violence assault.
• Bobby Rayson, 50 — Warrants.
• Francisco Solis, 19 — Public intoxication.
The Nolan County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) had seven calls for service, served no civil papers and made two arrests on Aug. 1, 2012.
Arrested by NCSO:
• Ricky Scott Grisham, 48, of Springtown — Indictment/possession of controlled substance (meth).
Calls for service:
• Welfare concern — Gulfton Road.
• Inmate transport/MHMR — W. New Mexico.
• Burglary — CR 245.
• Vehicle accident — Highway 153/South Highway 70.
• Damaged property — I-20 Exit 251 west bound.
• Information only — I-20 MM 244 west bound.
• Grass fire — Hopkins Road.
