The Sweetwater Police Department (SPD) received 61 calls for service, issued two citations and made two arrests on Aug. 23, 2011.

The SPD received 22, 911 calls.

Calls for service:
• Theft — 400 block of NE Georgia.
• Criminal trespass — 1100 block of Bell.

Arrested by SPD
• Terry Allen, 36 — Warrant.
• James Crosley, 37 — Family violence assault.

The Nolan County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) had 14 calls for service, served 11 civil papers and made four arrests on Aug. 23, 2011.

Arrested by NCSO:
• Edward Valdez, 31, of Sweetwater — Warrant/improper photo/visual recording without consent.

Arrested by DPS:
• Milton Leon Hamilton, Jr., 38, of Henderson — Driving while license invalid with precious conviction for suspension.

Arrested by D.A. Office:
• Crista Carolyn Coker, 21, of Abilene — Warrant/theft by check.
• Brandon Carl Powell, 28, of Abilene — Possession of marijuana, Jones County warrant/bond forfeiture and Taylor County warrant/burglary of a vehicle.

Calls for service:

• Suspicious person — Highway 84.
• Welfare concern — Highway 84.
• Reckless driver — I-20 west bound.
• Prisoner transport — Taylor county.

• Suspicious incident — 250.
• Suspicious vehicle — FM 2035.

The Sweetwater Fire Department responded to seven ambulance calls and three fire calls on Aug. 23, 2011.
• Five in the city of Sweetwater.
