The Sweetwater Police Department (SPD) received 36 calls for service, issued one citation and made three arrests on Aug. 27, 2012.

The SPD received 17, 911 calls.

Calls for service:
• Family violence assault — 1300 block of E. 13th.
• Information — 500 block of Elm.
• Theft — 500 block of E. 12th.
• Sexual assault — Sweetwater area.

Arrested by SPD:
• Cedric Brown, 31 — Driving while license invalid/no insurance.
• George Gonzales, 61 — Warrants.
• Steven Medina, 40 — Warrants/theft.

The Nolan County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) had eight calls for service, served no civil papers and made no arrests on Aug. 27, 2012.

Calls for service:
• Vehicle accident — South Highway 70/Skelly Lane.
• Reckless driver — I-20 MM 235 west bound.
• MHMR transport — Big Spring.
• Information only — South Highway 70.
• Information only — FM 419.
• Inmate transport/medical — E. Arizona.
• Information only — E. Third Street.
• MHMR transport — Big Spring.
