The Sweetwater Police Department (SPD) received 69 calls for service, issued no citations and made two arrests on Aug. 29, 2011.

The SPD received 16, 911 calls.

• Criminal mischief — 1600 block of Grand.
• Assault — 800 block of Lemon.
• Indecency with a child — Sweetwater.
• Assault — 500 block of Elm.
• Cruelty to animals — 1400 block of Campbell.
Arrested by SPD
• Whitney Byram, 24 — Warrants.
• John Michael Brown, 24 — Warrants.

The Nolan County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) had 10 calls for service, served two civil papers and made two arrests on Aug. 29, 2011.

Arrested by NCSO:
• Manuel Adames Jr., 61, of San Angelo — Judgment.
• Michael Rico, 29, of Hermleigh — Judgment.

Calls for service:
• Traffic hazard — I-20 MM 242 west bound.
• Stray livestock — FM 1856.
• Vehicle accident — South Highway 70.
• Theft — I-20 South, Roscoe.
• Medical emergency — CR 108.
• Vehicle accident — CR 258.
• Stray livestock — FM 608.
• Criminal mischief — South Hickory Street, Roscoe.
• Reckless driver — I-20 MM 247 east bound.

The Sweetwater Fire Department responded to eight ambulance calls and four fire calls on August 29, 2011.
