The Sweetwater Police Department (SPD) received 45 calls for service, issued six citations and made one arrest on Jan. 16, 2013.

The SPD received 45, 911 calls.

Calls for service:
• Burglary of a vehicle — 1600 block of San Carlos.
• Aggravated assault of a child — Sweetwater.

Arrested by SPD:
• Blake Linebaugh, 20 — Warrant.

The Nolan County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) had six calls for service, served no civil papers and made two arrests on Jan. 16, 2013.

Arrested by NCSO:
• Andron Lee Rains, 22, of Sweetwater — Warrants/burglary of a building x2.
• Claude Brafford Speed, Jr., 21, of Big Spring — Warrant/burglary of a building.

Calls for service:
• Inmate transport/medical — E. Arizona.
• Prisoner transport — Taylor County.
• Reckless driver — I-20 MM 220 east bound.
• Medical emergency — FM 419.
• Reckless driver — I-20 MM 251 west bound.
• Vehicle accident — Highway 70/FM 1856.

Total in Custody: 34

The Sweetwater Fire Department responded to nine ambulance calls and two fire calls over the past 24 hours.
• Six ambulance call in the city of Sweetwater.
• One fire call in the city of Sweetwater.
• Three ambulance calls in Nolan County.
• One fire call in Nolan County.
