The Sweetwater Police Department (SPD) received 53 calls for service, issued two citations and made two arrests on Jan. 26, 2012.

The SPD received 37, 911 calls.

Calls for service:
• Burglary of a habitation — 1000 block of Beall.
• Class A assault — 900 block of Hillside.

Arrested by SPD:
• Maria Limon, 39 — Warrant.
• Timothy Cantu, 18 — Warrant.

The Nolan County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) had eight calls for service, served six civil papers and made no arrests on Jan. 26, 2012.

Calls for service:
• Inmate transport/medical — E. Arizona Ave.
• Animal control — Lake Sweetwater.
• Reckless driver — Highway 84.
• Stranded motorist — Highway 153.
• Medical emergency — E. Third Street.
• Medical emergency — CR 220.
• Theft — E. Bradford Lane.
• 911 hang up — Oak, Roscoe.
