The Sweetwater Police Department (SPD) received 48 calls for service, issued three citations and made two arrests on July 17, 2012.

The SPD received 29, 911 calls.

Accidents:
• SE Georgia and Lamar.
• Lamar and Arizona.
• 700 block of E. Broadway.
• 1600 block of Hailey.

Calls for service:
• Burglary of a habitation — 1100 block of Presidio.
• Criminal mischief — 2900 block of E. Broadway.
• Theft — 200 block of Bowie.
Arrested by SPD:
• Ricky Balthrop, 27 — Family violence assault.
• Paisley Shafer, 20 — Assault.

The Nolan County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) had 10 calls for service, served no civil papers and made four arrests on July 17, 2012.

Arrested by NCSO:
• Rebekah Dianne Hogan, 37, of Sweetwater — Warrant/motion to revoke probation.
• Regina Rita Venegas, 30, of Sweetwater — Judgment.
• Cy Ray Carter, 56, of Lawn — Judgment.
• Ray Anthony Gutierrez, 22, of Sweetwater — Warrant/motion to revoke probation.

Calls for service:
• Welfare concern — I-20 MM 250-251 east bound.
• Civil problem — Newman Street.
• Civil problem — South Highway 70.
• Prisoner transport x 2 — Runnels County.
• Welfare concern — Tebo, Blackwell.
• Information only — CR 290.
• Traffic hazard — I-20 MM 237 east bound.
• Assist SPD/traffic control — Hoyt and Broadway.
• Residential fire — CR 109.
• Intoxicated person — Lake Sweetwater.
