The Sweetwater Police Department (SPD) received 80 calls for service, issued eight citations and made four arrests on July 28, 2011.

The SPD received 32, 911 calls.

Calls for service:
• Sex offender's duty to register lifetime — Sweetwater.
• Theft — Sweetwater area.
• Assault — 900 block of Pine.
• Burglary of a vehicle/theft of firearm — 2400 block of Lamar.
• Burglary of a vehicle — 200 block of E. Arizona.
• Burglary of a vehicle — 200 block of SE Georgia.
• Burglary of a vehicle — 2100 block of E. Broadway.
• Burglary of a vehicle — 1700 block of Elm.

Arrested by SPD
• Male Juvenile, 14 — Criminal mischief.
• Male Juvenile, 15 — Criminal mischief.
• Maria Wood, 17 — Minor in possession of tobacco.
• Lisa Soto, 29 — Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

The Nolan County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) had 12 calls for service, served six civil papers and made one arrest on July 28, 2011.
