The Sweetwater Police Department (SPD) received 47 calls for service, issued no citations and made two arrests on July 6, 2011.

The SPD received 45, 911 calls.

Calls for service:
• Family violence assault — 1600 block of Grand.
• Theft — 800 block of Bowie.

Arrested by SPD
• Matthew McQueen, 20 — Warrants.
• Ronnie Garcia, 33 — Warrants.

The Nolan County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) had nine calls for service, served seven civil papers and made no arrests on July 6, 2011.

Calls for service:
• Stray livestock — CR 142.
• Reckless driver — I-20 MM 243 east bound.
• Grass fire — CR 273.
• Court Bailiff — County Court at Law.
• Illegal dumping — CR 196/CR 263.
• Grass fire — SW of Inadale.
• Stranded motorist — I-20 MM 254 west bound.
• Welfare concern — Third Street, Roscoe.
• Stranded motorist — Highway 84.

Total in Custody: 34 (One in Taylor County)

The Sweetwater Fire Department responded to six ambulance calls and four fire calls on July 6, 2011.
• Three EMS calls in the city of Sweetwater.
• One EMS and four fire calls in the County.
• Two transfers to Abilene.
