The Sweetwater Police Department (SPD) received 38 calls for service, issued three citations and made one arrest on Nov. 5, 2012.

The SPD received 33, 911 calls.

Arrested by SPD:
• Connie Sumruld, 41 — Possession of marijuana over, two ounces.

The Nolan County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) had 12 calls for service, served no civil papers and made one arrest on Nov. 5, 2012.
Arrested by DPS:
• Valarie Elaine Johnson, 41, of Roscoe — Public intoxication, possession of marijuana and possession of controlled substance (meth).

Calls for service:
• Alarm — Main Street, Roscoe.
• Information only — Alamo, Blackwell.
• Funeral escort — Roscoe Cemetery.
• Prisoner transport — Abilene.
• Welfare concern — Highway 70/FM 608.
• Reckless driver — CR 246.
• Inmate transport/medical — E. Arizona.
• Assist Merkel PD/pursuit — I-20 west bound.
• Traffic hazard — I-20 MM 267.
• Reckless driver — Highway 84.
• Suspicious incident — CR 119.
• Vehicle accident — I-20 MM 240 west bound.

The Sweetwater Fire Department responded to seven ambulance calls and three fire calls on Nov. 5.
