The Sweetwater Police Department (SPD) received 42 calls for service, issued three citations and made three arrests on Oct. 13, 2011.

The SPD received 20, 911 calls.

Arrested by SPD:
• Kendrick Buchanan, 38 — Warrants.
• Christopher Hayes, 34 — Possession of a controlled substance.
• Merced Flores, 29 — Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The Nolan County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) had 14 calls for service, served one civil paper and made no arrests on Oct. 13, 2011.

• Medical emergency — Brother English Road.
• Stray livestock — South Highway 70.
• Fire — Maryneal.
• Attempted suicide — Main Street, Roscoe.
• Unattended death — CR 105.
• Reckless driver — I-20 MM 246 west bound.
• Welfare concern — FM 1809.
• Reckless driver — I-20 MM 244 east bound.
• Reckless driver — I-20 MM 233 east bound.
• Suspicious person — Sweetwater Cemetery.
• Grass fire — FM 1809.
• Reckless driver — I-20 MM 241 west bound.
• Assist SPD/911 call — Bowie Street.

Total in Custody: 46

The Sweetwater Fire Department responded to seven ambulance calls and three fire calls on Oct. 13, 2011.
