The Sweetwater Police Department (SPD) received 41 calls for service, issued three citations and made no arrests on Oct. 27, 2011.

The SPD received 32, 911 calls.

Calls for service:
• Information only — 1000 block of Locust.
• Burglary of a habitation — Lakewood.
• Family violence assault — 200 block of W. Florida.
The Nolan County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) had nine calls for service, served seven civil papers and made one arrest on Oct. 27, 2011.

Arrested by NCSO:
• Jerry DeWitt Washington, Jr., 26, of Sweetwater — Warrants x2/surety withdrawal.

Calls for service:
• Stranded motorist — I-20 MM 255 west bound.
• Reckless driver — I-20 MM 250 west bound.
• Vehicle accident — Highway 84.
• Vehicle accident — I-20 MM 242.
• 911 hang up — CR 111.
• Fire — Oak Creek Lake.
• Suspicious vehicle — I-20 E. Interchange east bound.
• MHMR transport — Big Spring.
• Reckless driver — I-20 MM 252 west bound.

Total in Custody: 54 (Garza County: 3; Taylor County: 8)
