The Sweetwater Police Department (SPD) received 48 calls for service, issued three citations and made one arrest on Oct. 4, 2011.

The SPD received 16, 911 calls.

Calls for service:

• Burglary — 1300 block of James.
• Information only — 1400 block of Grand.

Arrested by SPD
• Steven Opry, 26 — Warrant.

The Nolan County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) had seven calls for service, served no civil papers and made two arrests on Oct. 4, 2011.

Arrested by NCSO:
• Timothy Ray Falls, 62, Homeless — Judgment.
• Brian Gutierrez Gonzales, 36, of Sweetwater — Warrant/parole violation.

Calls for service:
• Damaged property — CR 190.
• Traffic hazard — I-20 MM 244 west bound.
• Stray livestock — CR 237.
• Prisoner transport — Breckenridge.
• Stray livestock — Turkey Track Ranch.
• MHMR transport — San Angelo.
• Close patrol — CR 256.

The Sweetwater Fire Department responded to three ambulance calls and one fire call on Oct. 4, 2011.
