The Sweetwater Police Department (SPD) received 49 calls for service, issued no citations and made no arrests on Sept. 5, 2012.

The SPD received 34, 911 calls.

Calls for service:
• Family violence assault — 900 block of Elm.
• Assault — 400 block of E. 15th.
• Criminal mischief — 100 block of Beryle.
• Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon — 1600 block of Grand.

The Nolan County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) had four calls for service, served one civil paper and made two arrests on Sept. 5, 2012.

Arrested by NCSO:
• Benny Flores, 36, of Sweetwater — Taylor County warrant/surety withdrawal.

Arrested by DPS:
• Steven Rene Orona, 19, of Sweetwater — Possession of marijuana.

Calls for service:
• Criminal mischief — Cypress Street, Roscoe.
• Stray livestock — South Highway 70.
• Found property — CR 258.
• Vehicle accident — I-20 MM 237 east bound exit.
