BridgeTex Pipeline construction begins in surrounding counties
The BridgeTex Pipeline is a joint venture between Magallan Midstream Partners (MMP) and Occidental Petroleum. Magallan is constructing the pipeline to transport crude oil from the Permian Basin to the Houston area and will also be the pipeline operator. The project consists of approximately 450 miles of 20” to 24” pipe from Colorado City to Houston with a capacity of 300,000 barrels per day. Construction is expected to be complete by July 2014.
