Bull Bash raises $8,700

February 28, 2012

When Laramie Cash Miles (shown) was 2 months old, he was diagnosed with Pan-Hypopituitarism--a disease of the pituitary gland that makes it impossible to produce basic & necessary hormones & steroids the body needs to survive--& Septo-Optic Nerve Dysplasia, a condition Cash was born with where his optic nerve is too small to transfer any information seen by his eyes to his brain, for his brain to process; hence, blindness. The eye condition is a stable condition that will stay the same forever.

The Third Annual Ridin' For Cash bull riding champion was Guthrie Long of Gardendale, TX. Second place was Will Anderson of Haslet, TX; third place was Stormy Rasberry of Roby, TX; fourth place was McKennon Wimberley of Cool, TX; fifth place went to Bradley Brittion of Odessa, TX and the sixth place winner was Kyle Carson of Ranger, TX.
The Mutton Bustin Champion was Kaleb Hall of Sweetwater.
"Ruben Cruz of Ozona was our rodeo announcer and did an amazing job," said Annie Miles, event coordinator. "To keep the crowd on their feet, Adam Costello of Tomball was our barrel-man. Our bull riding judges for the event were Ricky Walker of Abilene and Kyle Hamm also from Abilene. We had four awesome bull fighters that did a great job keeping the riders safe — Marty Cormier of San Angelo, Jimmy Lee also from San Angelo, Chuck Swisher from Dover Okla. and Cody Gregory from Abilene. Bulls were brought by Monte, Janet, Riley and Rex Samford from Eula, TX (Flying S Bucking Bulls), Lane and Sean Smith of Aspermont, TX (SS livestock) and Shane and Robin Smith of Graham, TX (Circle S Bucking Bulls). We can't express enough how thankful we are for our sponsors, volunteers and rodeo personnel that helps every year."
