Colorado City Rotary Club to host 8th annual Pat Taylor Memorial Night Golf Tournament & Steak Cookout on June 30 at Colorado City’s Wolf Creek Golf Links

The Colorado City Rotary Club hosts its eighth annual Pat Taylor Memorial Night Golf Tournament and Steak Cookout June 30 at Colorado City’s Wolf Creek Golf Links. The entry fee for the four-person ABCD scramble will be $60 per person and includes a steak dinner for players only. Additional dinners may be purchased for $10 for adults and $6 for children 10 and under.
Cart fees are not included in the entry fee. The number of carts are limited so players are encouraged to reserve early.
The tournament is limited to the first 64 paid players with a 16-team maximum. The tee time is 6 p.m., and dinner will be served after the completion of the first nine holes. The final nine will be played after dark with glow-in-the-dark balls.
Prizes will be awarded for first and second place, as well as for the longest drive and closest to the pin. Door prize drawings will be held during the steak dinner. The tournament is the Rotary Club’s major fund-raiser for scholarships and other club projects. Each year the club awards five $1,000 scholarships to graduating Mitchell County seniors at four area high schools. It also offers hole sponsorships to local and area businesses and corporations to help raise money for the scholarships as follows.
Tournament sponsor: $1,000 donation and receives two teams in the tournament and top billing on the sponsorship recognition board.
Corporate sponsor: $500 donation and receives one team in the tournament and second billing on the sponsorship recognition board.
Hole sponsor: $100 donation and the sponsor’s name posted at one of the nine holes.
To enter the tournament or sponsor a hole, or for more information, contact Don Woods at (325) 728-3722 or Robbie Dewberry at (325) 728-3431.
