Campbellfest 2011, a benefit concert for Snyder Police Cpl. Darrell Campbell, is taking shape and several musical acts will perform during the three-day event.
The concert will be held Aug. 19-21 at The Coliseum and organizers have launched a website (www.campbellfest2011. com).
Tickets are available at KSNY and B's Beverage Barn in Snyder and Sharp Shooter's in Lubbock. The cost is $20 in advance for adults and $25 if purchased at the door. Children between the ages of six and 11 will be admitted for $10 while those five and under will be able to attend free.
Friday's activities will begin at 5 p.m. with a welcome by Police Chief Terry Luecke. Also scheduled for the opening night are the Rev. Randy Farmer, Zane Green, Soul Candy and Zach Harmon.
Saturday's events begin at 2 p.m. and include Easy Does It, Under the Double Eagle Band, Coley Ramage Band, Pushrod, Lawless Flatz, Southern Circus, Tony Barker, Marshall Dillon and Feel Never Real.
Sunday's finale starts at 2 p.m. and features Kaylee Rhodes, Climbing Blind, Mercy Renound and a cowboy church service.
The website also has a link to purchase T-shirts for the event. Shirts can be ordered in advance for $20 plus shipping and handling costs.
As part of the weekend festivities, a hamburger meal and auction will be held Aug. 20 at Colonial Hill Baptist Church.
The cost is $5 for the meal which includes drinks, chips and cookies. The meal will begin at 5 p.m. with the auction starting at 6:30 p.m.
