Cancer awareness was recognized at the Wood Bat Classic baseball tournament on Friday at Newman Park prior to Sweetwater's game against Wall. Several local cancer survivors gathered on the infield for a brief ceremony where each of them threw a baseball to one of the Sweetwater or Wall players.
