Candelario Valles Moreno was born in McQueeny, TX. He worked for the City of Sweetwater in the Water Department as a Back Hoe Operator and he retired in 1997 from the City of Sweetwater. He attended First Baptist Church. Candelario was a wonderful father and grandfather and a great friend of Sweetwater. He was known to many by Candy or Henry and loved by all. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Rosa Moreno; three sisters and nine step sisters and one step brother, Inez Gutierrez and husband Manuel of O’Donnell, TX, Michella Moreno Gomez and husband Alejandro of Draw, TX, Josephina Moreno of Sweetwater, TX, Eloisa Moreno Sustatita and husband Richard from Lubbock, TX, Lydia Gutierrez from Tahoka, TX, Cruz Aguero Benavidez from Wichita Falls, TX, Gabriel Aguero and wife Rosa Maria of Mesquite, TX, Angelita Moreno Reyes of Dallas, TX, Albina Moreno Torres and husband Oscar of Garland, TX, Julia Moreno Gonzales of Mansfield, TX, Cecilia Moreno Garcia and husband Jose of Arlington, TX, Juanita Moreno Sanchez and Steve from Irving, TX and Maria Moreno Adams and husband Jimmy of Arlington. He had one son and two daughters and two step sons, his son, Julio B. Moreno and his wife Becky from Kaplan, LA, daughter Sarita Moreno Barrera and husband Solio Barrera from Beeville, TX, daughter Gloria Moreno and Roy Bates from Sweetwater, son Noah Cano and wife Leslie of Arlington, TX and Xavier Cano from Pittsburg, TX. He had 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Julio V. Moreno; mother, Serferina Moreno; sister, Elizabeth DeLaCruz; and brothers Ramon Moreno, Alexander Moreno and Quireno Moreno.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at New Life Baptist Church in O’Donnell, Texas with Rev. Lee Gamez officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater.
