Carlos Gonzalez, 51, of Los Angeles, Calif. and former resident of Sweetwater, died Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, in Los Angeles, Calif.
His body will be cremated and his urn will be placed next to his wife Detsy’s urn in a niche at Forest Lawn Memorial Parks in Hollywood Hills, Calif. The service will be held Friday, Feb. 25, 2011.
Carlos was born Jan. 8, 1960, in El Paso, Texas. He lived most of his life in California, moving to Sweetwater in 1989 to live near his sister, Gloria. While in Sweetwater, he worked as a fry cook at 76 travel center and did many odd jobs.
Survivors include three daughters, Chloe, who was born in Sweetwater, Violet and Jasmin; three sisters, Gloria Gonzalez of Sweetwater, Martha Gonzalez of California and Lupe Gonzalez of California; and niece, Tatiana Rodriguez of Sweetwater.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Alma “Detsy” Gonzalez; and an infant son, Juan Carlos Gonzalez.
