Private services (family only) for Carol Jeane Moore, 80, of Roscoe, will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, at 2:30 p.m. at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Don Wilson officiating. Cremation will follow under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 6:30-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, at McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater.
Moore died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.
She was born June 19, 1931, in Oklahoma City, Okla. She married Jack Moore on Nov. 25, 1950 in Oklahoma City, Okla. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Abilene. She was a member of the Business and Professional Woman’s Society in Sweetwater, the Abilene Woman’s Club, Los Aficionados Art Club and the New Comer’s Club in Sweetwater. She had lived in Abilene from 1974 to 1983 then moved to Roscoe in 1983 until her death. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Moore of Roscoe; daughter, Linda Moore of Amarillo; two sons, Steven Moore and wife Luz Maria of Houston and Brett Moore of Iowa Park, TX; granddaughter, Kelly Barrington and husband Alan of Austin; grandson Vernon Moore and wife Graciela of Houston; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a granddaughter, Brandy Smith.
