LUBBOCK — Carolyn Yocum, 73, of Wolfforth, Texas, passed away peacefully Monday, Aug. 27, 2012, at Covenant Palliative Care.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, in the W.W. Rix Chapel with Pastor Darren Skinner officiating. Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens Cemetery. Visitation was held Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, from 6-8 p.m.
Carolyn was born in Snyder, Texas, to J.D. and Ruby Copeland Robison on Oct. 18, 1938. She married Homer Yocum in 1991, and lived in Wolfforth, Texas, for 20 years. Carolyn loved her family, and she was a very loving woman. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren, reading and playing Bingo.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, J.D. Robison.
Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Ruby Robison; husband, Homer Yocum; son, Randy (Marita) Franklin; daughters, Vicki (Jerry) Cash and Melanie (Earl) Gentry; six grandchildren, Shasta Franklin, Cory Cash, B.J. Franklin, Courtney Gorley, Joshua Gentry and Kelsey Gentry; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Jerry (Truett) Bruns.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to all the doctors and nursing staff at Covenant Medical Center Palliative Care Unit for their devotion to and loving care of Carolyn Yocum.
