The West Texas Art Guild is sponsoring a Children’s art show at the County-City Library on Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012. The show will be divided into five age groups including ages 3-5, ages 6-8, ages 9-11, ages 12-14 and ages 15-18.
Name and age of the child must be attached to the back of the artwork. Ribbons will be awarded to first, second and third places, as well as honorable mention winners. One Best-Of-Show ribbon for the over-all best artwork will be awarded. All work must be matted and ready to hang.
A piece that is not matted/ready to hang, will not be accepted in the show. Due to the limited amount of space each child will be limited to entering only one piece of artwork. An entry card must be filled out and attached to the artwork.
All artworks are due at the County-City on Thursday, Feb. 29. The show will open on Saturday, March 3, and a reception will be held for the artists, their friends and family from 10 a.m. to noon that day. An out of town judge will judge this show. All artworks must remain in the library until March 30. For additional information, call Judy Hill at 325-668-2132 or 325-235-8305 or Carolyn Walker at 325- 242-0083 or 325-728-2184.
