Christmas celebration this weekend at Texas Theatre

December 14, 2012

Shown above is one of the performers of the Vaudeville production that begins today at the Texas Theatre, practicing on Thursday afternoon.

A Christmas Celebration with Santa Claus will be held at the Texas Theatre from Dec. 14-16 in Sweetwater.
"Help fix the 'broken spirit of Christmas' by joining us in this narrated Vaudeville production which will captivate you as each world class performer participates in revitalizing the Christmas spirit," said event organizers.
Among the talents presented will be an NBA halftime performer of the tight wire, Rolla Bolla, juggling, a hula hoop star, comedy, aerial acts and chair balancing.
Advance tickets are available at 202 East Broadway in Sweetwater and can also be purchased at JavaJax in downtown Sweetwater, according to the event's Facebook page ("A Christmas Celebration with Santa Claus"). The page also has a ticket photo that can be printed, which offers family discounts when tickets are purchased.
With the purchase of an adult ticket — which will be reduced to $8 from the normally priced $10 adult fee — a child under 12 years of age can get in free. At that point, each additional child will require a $5 fee, but children under 2 years of age can enter free of charge.
Show times will be Friday, Dec. 14 at 7 p.m., Saturday the 15th at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Sunday the 16th at 3 p.m.
And following each performance, each child will get the chance to meet Santa and tell him their Christmas wishes. Concessions will also be available at the event.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Texas Theatre so that they can provide top-notch family entertainment in a proper facility.
To find photos of the performers, get the ticket coupon for family discounts, and learn more about the local event, find them on Facebook by typing in "A Christmas Celebration with Santa Claus" in the search bar.
