Christmas parade rescheduled

The annual Christmas parade has been rescheduled and will be starting at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 12.

The annual Christmas parade, themed this year as "Under the Christmas Tree," has been rescheduled and will be starting at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 12. The parade will begin at Higginbotham’s and will continue to Pecan Street. Judging will be at 4 p.m. in the Higginbotham parking lot. Candy may be thrown carefully to the crowd. Entries are not required to be lighted, just decorated. Walking entries are welcome, as are strollers, dogs on a leash, skaters, those riding scooters, bicycles or go-carts.  Small children must have an adult walking with them. Those wishing to enter the parade may do so up until noon on Monday, Dec. 12. Registration forms are available at the Sweetwater Chamber of Commerce. After the parade, Mr. & Mrs. Claus will be at the First Financial Bank west lawn to take photos and share hot chocolate.
