City elections set for May 10

The City of Sweetwater will be having an election on Saturday, May 10 for two seats on the city commission.
Running for Precinct 2 Commissioner are incumbent Jim McKenzie and Miesha Hand. Jeremy Wilks is running against incumbent Jerod Peek for Precinct 4 Commissioner.
Only residents who live in Precincts 2 and 4 will vote for the two commission seats. Photos of the two precincts can be found on Page 3.
Precinct 2 includes residents who live on the southeast side of town--east of Robert Lee Street, south of West Texas Avenue, east of Lamar and south of East Avenue C.
Precinct 2 includes residents who live in the northeast side of Sweetwater, north of East Avenue C and east of Hailey and Morris Streets.
A map of Sweetwater highlighting the precincts is also on display at City Hall, located at 200 E. 4th Street.
At Tuesday's City Commission meeting, approval was given to appoint the following election judges and alternate judges: AdaBelle Clark and Rhea Hendrix for Precinct 2 and Ann McCarthy and Paul McCarty for Precinct 4. Darlene Walker was also appointed to the Early Voting Ballot Board.
