Clem to run for District Clerk

Jamie Clem is announcing her candidacy for Nolan County District Clerk.
Born and raised in Nolan County and a graduate of Blackwell CISD, Clem also attended American Commercial College and earned a degree in business accounting.
"I have been married to my husband, Weldon Clem, for 18 years," she said. "We have four children: Kevin Jones and wife Sarah, and Lorin Lopez and husband Peter, all of Sweetwater; Robyn Redder and husband Dwayne of Munday, Texas; and Christopher Clem and wife Dee Dee of Houston, Texas."
"I have worked for attorneys and in the legal system for 20 years. During my time working for attorneys, I have prepared and filed various documents in civil and criminal cases with the District Clerk's Office."
"As a legal assistant, I have assisted attorneys in jury selections and understand the importance of the District Clerk's role in that process," she added. "I also worked for the County Court at Law Judge and have worked very closely with the District Clerk's Office and understand the filing system of the office."
Clem was a board member for the West Texas Children's Advocacy Center and during that time served as Secretary, Vice-President and President.
"I believe there is nothing more important than serving your community. That is why I am asking for your vote on March 4, 2014."
Early voting for the primary election is February 18, 2014 through February 28, 2014 at the Nolan County Courthouse.
