Several local churches and organizations are planning Halloween and Fall events.
The public is invited to attend the forthcoming FBC Fall Festival on Sunday, Oct. 30, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Bring the entire family and enjoy food, game booths, an air slide, cake walk, prizes and lots of family fun. FBC members are asked to bring individually wrapped candy to the church office to be given away by the various booths.
Highland Baptist Church Fall Festival
The public is invited to attend the Highland Baptist Church Fall Festival on Sunday, Oct. 30, beginning at 7 p.m., at the church, located at 503 E. Alabama. There will be a trunk or treat, games, a spooky house for younger children and refreshments.
Sweetwater Healthcare Trick or Treaters
Sweetwater Healthcare will be receiving trick or treaters from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 31.
The Hoyt House, located at 1700 Hoyt Lane, will be receiving trick or treaters on Monday, Oct. 31. Residents will be passing out candy from 6-8:30 p.m.
Lamar Street Baptist Church will have their annual Fall Festival from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday night, Nov. 2 in the Family Life Center behind the church at 513 Lamar. There will be free food, games, a bounce house and a great time of fellowship for the entire family! For more information, please contact Clint Parks at 725-2688.
Southeast Elementary School P.T.O. is sponsoring a Harvest Festival on Thursday, Nov. 3, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. There will be games, activities, a silent auction and lots of great food. Tickets are 4/$1 or $10 for a wrist band. Wrist bands include all games and activities except the silly string corral and the beading booth. Hot dog supper tickets are available but must be prepurchased. For further information, contact Peggy Elliot at 235-9222.
