County burn ban lifted at meeting

Burn ban discussed, lifted at county commissioners meeting held at the Nolan County Courthouse

The burn ban for Nolan County was lifted on Monday morning during the county commissioners' meeting. The lift will remain in effect for the next two weeks or until the next meeting date.
With the recent precipitation that came to the area, it was reported that Roscoe and Blackwell each received about an inch of rainfall by their respective commissioners Terry Willman in Precinct 1 and Tommy White in Precinct 3.
The motion to lift the ban was made by White, with Willman seconding the motion. The four commissioners then approved the action item, which will allows citizens some time to complete any necessary yet controlled burns.
