County honors Wes Bishop

September 10, 2013

A resolution was read and approved at Monday's county commissioners meeting honoring Wes Bishop from Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital (RPMH) Physical Therapy Department.
Nolan County Judge Tim Fambrough read the resolution, which cited Bishop's distinguished service as a leader of the community. In 1977, Bishop helped establish the first physical therapy department at the hospital, in which his efforts improved the quality of life for many individuals.
The county also honored Bishop's service in local sports, as he made many contributions through volunteering which helped to enrich citizens' lives. Additionally, he served as a Sweetwater ISD (Independent School District) board trustee--a contribution to Sweetwater students and their education.
He also faithfully served his church, 4th and Elm Church of Christ. The county urged others to honor Bishop and his contributions through the declaration of Wes Bishop Day on Tuesday, September 10.
