Crash kills Abilene driver

One person was killed in a one-vehicle crash on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012 in Nolan County. The crash occurred around 5 a.m. on Interstate 20, 2/10 of a mile east of mile marker 242 in Nolan County.
Michael Norris Creek 63, of Abilene was taken to Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital in Sweetwater. He was pronounced dead at 6:50 a.m. by Doctor Lufkin Moses. His body was taken to the Hamil Funeral Home in Abilene. The next of kin have been notified.
Creek was driving a 2000 International Truck traveling west on I-20. The driver approached two vehicles in the roadway that had just been involved in a crash. Creek was unable to stop his truck and continued through the scene of the first crash. The truck left the roadway and overturned. The weather was clear to cloudy and the roadway was dry. This crash is being investigated by Trooper Robert Reagan.
