Criminal mischief at Wes-T-Go

At 3:38 a.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2012, a man attempted to break into the Wes-T-Go convenience store, located at 209 Lamar Street in Sweetwater.
According to the Sweetwater Police Department, a man was caught on video surveillance, throwing a large brick at the glass door of the store, when the alarm was triggered. After the brick did not break the glass, the man tried to kick the door in, but then fled when his attempts were unsuccessful. The brick was broken into three pieces and left in front of the store. The front glass was damaged, but the suspect did not gain entry into the store. The assailant ran south from the store.
