Curtis William “Bubba” Stone

Graveside services for Curtis William “Bubba” Stone, 77, of Winters, formerly of Sweetwater, will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at Roscoe Cemetery. Rev. Werth Mayes will officiate. Interment will follow under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, from noon to 2 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home.
Stone died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012 in Stephenville.
He was born Nov. 22, 1934, in Hermleigh. He was a Baptist. He served in the United States Air Force and was a graduate of Sweetwater High School. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service until his retirement. He lived in Sweetwater most of his life then moved to Winters 16 years ago.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine Stone of Winters; sons, Mike Stone and wife Bobbie of Stephenville, and David Stone and wife Angela of Stephenville; daughter, Cindy Winstead of Clyde; brothers, Raymond Stone and wife Beverly of Sweetwater and Bill Stone of Georgia; step daughter, Tammy Quilliey of Dallas; step son, Jim Bob Taylor of Dallas; six grandsons; one granddaughter; one great-granddaughter; four nieces; and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis W. Stone and Zadie Bell Wilkerson Stone; and a sister, Neva Herrington.
Pallbearers will be Curt Stone, Eric Stone, Christopher Stone, Cody Stone, Colby Stone and Trey Buckner.
