Cynthia Ann Wright Harris

Cynthia Ann Wright Harris died in Austin, Texas on March 22, 2011. She was born in Texas City, Texas on December 27, 1946 and graduated from Texas City High School in 1965. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Austin, where she was a member of several honor societies including Alpha Lambda Delta and Phi Beta Kappa. She married John Harris in 1970. She received her Master's Degree in Guidance and Counseling from Southwest Texas State University. She was a longtime staff member of Allen B. Shivers Cancer and Radiation Therapy Center in Austin. She attended Riverbend Church and was a member of its choir.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete Wright and Evelyn Wright of Texas City, and brother Gary Wright of Dallas.
She is survived by her sister Nancy Clark and husband, Bill of Sweetwater; nieces Sarah Clark of Dallas and Eve Patterson and husband Chris of Houston; uncle, Tommy White and wife Elaine of Houston; cousin and very special friend, Laurie Mahaffey and husband Mike, of Austin. She is also survived by very dear friends, Vivian Smith, Judy Pederson, Diana Phillips, Judy Ratliff and Mary Hauger, all of Austin. 
A memorial service conducted by Reverend Beverly Lawson will take place at Regency Village in Austin at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 25.
