Funeral services for Dawn Roxene Centner, 64, of Sweetwater, will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011, at the Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Donald Hunt officiating. She will be cremated. Arrangements are under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Centner died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, at her home.
She was born Feb. 10, 1947, in Syracuse, New York. She married Everett Centner on Dec. 18, 1965, in Cazenovia, NY. Dawn was a homemaker and had worked at Nolan Nursing and Rehab as a CNA. She moved to Sweetwater in September of 1983 and was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.
Survivors include her husband, Everett Centner of Sweetwater; son, Everett Centner, Jr. and Andrea Croan of Sweetwater; daughters, Vanessa Centner of Sweetwater, Jennifer Hill and Donald of Sweetwater and Amanda Black and James Williamson, II of Sweetwater; sisters, Annamae Qurantillo of Niagara Falls, NY, Cheryl Baum of Syracuse, NY and Ronale Baum of Niagara Falls, NY; brothers, Lanny Baum of Brooksville, Florida, Charles Baum of Niagara Falls, NY and John Baum of Marathon, NY; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Phyllis Baum; brother, Robert Baum; grandsons, Justin Black and Brian Black; and great-grandson, Matthew Donald Centner.
