Deadline extended for county time capsule

February 25, 2014

The deadline to submit items for the Nolan County Time Capsule was officially extended at Monday morning's meeting of the Nolan County Commissioners.
Wednesday, March 19 will be the final day for residents to submit small items such as business cards, coins and letters. Precinct 3 Commissioner Tommy White once again noted that the size of the capsule will depend on how many items are submitted.
Items can be brought to Jerry Hunt in the County Judge's office. For those that have a larger-sized item they would like to submit, they can bring it by the office to determine if it can be included.
The idea of a county time capsule was first presented at the January 13 commissioners' meeting, although discussion had taken place on the project some time earlier.
