Holy Mass of Christian Burial for Dominga Chapa, 86, of Sweetwater, will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Father Charles Okonkwa officiating. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
A Rosary will be said by Maria Acuña at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at McCoy Chapel of Memories.
Chapa died Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at Nolan Nursing and Rehab in Sweetwater.
She was born April 17, 1926, in Anson, Texas. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. She had lived in Sweetwater since 1963. She worked as a nurse's aide at Nolan Nursing and Rehab for several years. She also worked at Wall's Manufacturing as a seamstress.
Survivors include her sisters, Mary Gonzales of Bellflower, Calif. and Toni Sosa and husband Gus of Abilene; brother, Camilo Chapa, Jr. of Paris, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and four of her siblings.
Pallbearers will be her nephews, Benny Adamez, Ronnie Maldonado, Doyle Ramirez, Raul Gonzalez, Ralph Gonzalez and Dre Sosa.
