Doug Alexander is announcing his Republican candidacy for Nolan County Commissioner Precinct 2.
Nolan County voters will have the opportunity to cast their votes on the early voting dates of February 18, 2014 thru February 28, 2014. They may also opt to vote in the primary election on March 4, 2014. Doug would sincerely appreciate your vote in this upcoming election.
Alexander is a lifelong resident of Nolan County with a strong commitment to Nolan County and its people. He will work with the citizens of Nolan County and he will work for the citizens of Nolan County. He is dedicated to working with Nolan County's commissioners and Nolan County's city leaders in order to maintain and better our vibrant county.
His Nolan County work experience includes 15 years at Texas Coca-Cola Bottling Co. and 20 years with Frito-Lay Inc. Currently, he is a licensed Texas auctioneer where he is responsible for closing the assets of many businesses and estates. He is bonded in the State of Texas and has been an auctioneer in Nolan County for 28 years.
Alexander is a graduate from Sweetwater High School. For the past 20 years he and his family have been members of the Trinity Baptist Church. At Trinity Baptist, he has served as Sunday School Director, Sunday School Teacher, on the Personnel Committee and also served on the Transition Team Committee.
He has a strong commitment to listening and helping people. Alexander is also a member of the Sweetwater Rifle and Pistol Club, where he serves on the board.
