Dry roads reported in the area

January 24, 2014

Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) crews in the Brownwood District worked overnight to clear snow and ice from roads and bridges. Although conditions have improved, some counties are reporting patches of black ice. McCulloch, San Saba, Mills and Lampasas Counties were most affected by the storm, and drivers should be cautious if traveling in these areas.
All areas of the Abilene District are reporting dry roads.
Icy conditions are affecting other regions of the state. Drivers are strongly encouraged to check road conditions before deciding to travel this morning.
