Edward (Eddie) Longoria, age 30, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012 in Amarillo, Texas.
A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel, recited by Maria Herrera.
Christian funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Deacon Bill Butler officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Edward was born on April 7, 1981, in Friona, Texas to Reynaldo and Trinidad (DeLeon) Longoria. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
He is survived by girlfriend, Erica Massey of Amarillo, Texas; son, Tristan Longoria of Sweetwater, Texas; mother, Trinidad DeLeon Longoria of Sweetwater, TX; two sisters, Mary Mejia and husband Michael, and Sally Peña, all of Sweetwater, TX; three brothers, Jose Longoria and wife Angela, Ray Longoria, Jr. and wife Gloria and Michael Longoria and girlfriend, Lisa Ramos, all of Sweetwater, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Longoria, Sr.
Pallbearers will be Chino DeLeon, Ray Longoria, Jr., Jose Longoria, Michael Longoria, Gilbert Perez and Isaac Longoria.
