Ella Sedberry passed away March 8, 2013 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital in Sweetwater.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at 2 p.m. at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Pastor John Gentry officiating Interment will follow at Decker Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Ella was born April 29, 1917, in Ballinger to Ella and M. Walden. She married W.O. Sedberry April 1, 1938 who preceded her in death in 1978.
Ella was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Ollie Crain, Eppie Crain and Emma Lanier.
She is survived by two daughters, Peggy Gragiola of Abilene and Shirley Turner and husband Lloyd of Lubbock; three grandchildren, Laura Gragiola-Lathrop of Abilene, Michelle Mumma of Richmond, Virginia and Dax Turner and wife Câ€™ne of Plano; seven great-grandchildren, Elyse Mumma of Charlottesville, Virginia, Abby Mumma of Richmond, Virginia, Alexandra Graves of Abilene, Alisha Downing and husband Payton of Abilene, Jacob Lathrop of Abilene, Cambelle Turner of Plano and Graham Turner of Plano; two great-great-grandchildren, Bradley Rogers of Abilene and Royal Downing of Abilene; and lastly, her beloved little brother, Watus Walden and wife Sue of The Colony, Texas; and several nieces and nephews with whom she shared many jokes and laughter through the years.
Ella was a member of the Evangelical Methodist Church and served as President of the EMW organization for many years. A thanks for her Pastor John Gentry and wife Paula and all her friends at the church.
Our deepest appreciation and thank you goes to Dr. George Lindsey who took such special care of Ella. His consideration and care was immeasurable.
