Holy Mass of Christian burial for Eugenio E. Treviño, Sr., 78, of Sweetwater, will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, with Father Michael Rodriguez officiating. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
A Rosary will be said by Pauline Gauna at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 14 , 2011, at McCoy Chapel of Memories.
Treviño died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011, at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital in Sweetwater.
He was born Nov. 15, 1932, in Kennedy, Texas.
He moved to Roscoe in 1961, and then to Sweetwater 11 years ago. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Sweetwater. Eugenio worked for RS&P Railroad as a brakeman for 20 years, then retiring at Sweetwater Coop Compress. He was also a farmer.
Survivors include his son, Ruben Treviño of Snyder; brother, Raymond Treviño of Edinburg, Texas; sister, Gabriella Garcia of Edinburg, Texas; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Eugenio Treviño, Jr. on Nov. 29, 2001; and a brother, Guadalupe Treviño.
