Family FunFair approaches

March 14, 2012

The West Texas Children's Advocacy Center (shown) is one of two local offices hosting the 7th Annual Child Abuse Awareness Family FunFair on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 from 4:00-6:30 p.m. at the Nolan County Coliseum.

The Seventh Annual Child Abuse Awareness Family FunFair will be held Wednesday, April 4, from 4-6:30 p.m. with the special ceremony “Time of Remembrance” from 6-6:30 p.m.  Once again the Nolan County Coliseum Annex will be the site for this event.
"We are asking that each organization bring a case of canned drinks as we have in the past to help out," said event organizer Javier Franco. "Also, we are asking that you bring information about your program as well. If you have some kind of activity for the children, you can bring that with you and set it up. We do ask that you stay for the Time of Remembrance afterwards if possible. Please plan to participate in this important part of the FunFair."
Last year over 500 people came which resulted in a "huge success. If you know of any other agency that would like to participate, feel free to have them contact us. Thank you once again for making the FunFair a huge success. We look forward to seeing you there," added Franco.
For more information, contact local offices at 235-8487 (High Sky Children's Ranch) or 235-1818 (West Texas Children’s Advocacy Center).
Those wishing to participate are asked to contact either office so that organizers can have a table ready for each organization.
