Fatal crash kills Andrews judge

One person was killed in a motorcycle crash on Saturday afternoon at 6:33 p.m. in Nolan County. The crash was on Interstate 20 mile marker 237 in the westbound lane.
Deceased was Gerome Cloyd Black, 79 years of age from Andrews, Texas. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:25 p.m. by Nolan County Judge Tim Fambrough. The body was taken to McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater.
Black was traveling west when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, causing his 2006 Suzuki motorcycle to overturn. Black was thrown into the center median. Gerome Cloyd Black was the Municipal Judge for Andrews, Texas.
The weather was clear and road was dry. The crash is being investigated by Trooper John Henry Nichols.
