First Baptist Church ribbon cutting

First Baptist Church in Sweetwater held a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house on Sunday afternoon, March 6, for its newly remodeled Education Building. The updated facility boasts amenities such as an elevator which makes the building accessible for everyone and the restoration of the original stairwell. Though the building was constructed over 90 years ago, the updates now allow the church to stand ready and capable for the future. Pastor Phillip Thomas extended thanks to the church's building committee, architects, construction workers and all involved to bring the two-year "Connecting Generations" campaign to fruition.
